Trying to Find a Name?

Wordle: Kids name

Jodie, Sadie, and I are working on a name for the new little Swafford. We have resorted to requesting comments on Facebook, reading very long list from the web, and next week I'm starting a poll with my students.

A name is on the way and I can feeling it!

Sadie & Daddy Make a Gingerbread House

Sadie loves making crafts. This year one of my students gave me a gingerbread house to make with Sadie. It was a big hit.
She has continued to enjoy investigating it (pulling it apart piece by piece). The leftover bits are still sitting on the piano out of Sadie's reach. Come by and see it if you like. I'm sure Sadie would love to show you.

President Obama Steps-up and Sadie Grows-up!

Today we watched Obama eloquently speak about our countries future and Sadie sat on the potty doing a poo! I know the comparison is far reaching however every parent celebrates the steps forward in their child's growth.

4D Looking! He is still a Boy.

The 4D views were not the best, as the Little One is head down ready to exit. Our doc has said we will take another 4D look next visit, if we have a better view. Enjoy the three pictures with views of the arm and head.

Smith-Swafford Adventure to the Huck!

Huckleberry Knob (5560 ft / 1695 m)
The Calm after the Storm!
High Winds and Rain Cooking Indoors Smith Style
Hold on, The Wind and Blowing Rain are Crushing Our Tent!
Sunrise: 7:35ish Temp: 27 F (-2.7 C) degrees

Jacob's first cold/rainy camping experience was a great time. Eric and I setup the tent in a hellish wind that was carrying away all not staked down. Braking all the rules for smart camping, our highly exposed site was not conducive for fire making. Diving into the tent we sorted a bit of food as the torrents of rain found their way into the tent, the shoes, the sleeping bags and most everything you want dry. Eric endured the 2 inches of water in this boots at the 4:30 am warming party (he only attended). After returning to bed he found sleeping a little more comforting on this frozen jeans, noting the temperature had dropped to 27. Jacob loved the trip and talked about the next one on our way home!

Emmi Come Play With Me!

"You have got to love Movember."

"Mummy! I want Emmi play."

We started off the day with Sadie ready to run and play, asking about her friends. Rainy days can be fun so we are off to do something.

Emmi do you remember playing?

New Year Eve

We brought the new year in with a bang! Eric & Cami invited us to join them at their wonderful home.

Cami, I hope you can get the place cleaned up after the mess we made; you guys are wonderful and we enjoy each visit.

Sadie had been saying, "Fire-bang. More fire-bang daddy."
She liked the fireworks!

Uncle Matt!

Sadie's very special uncle Matt came to visit this Christmas and everyone has heard a lot about Matt!
"Matt Play!"
"Matt Mix"
"Matt, Help Please!"
"Matt Play!"

Matt is currently working as a pilot at GAM air services in the northern part of Australia. He skipped out on this two week stay with us to join Corbin and Julie bike California State Route 1 on the coast between SF and LAX. We hope he is having a good time and look forward to his pictures.

Sabbath Walk on the North Chickamauga Creek

The Smith, Wright,  and Swafford families made a trek to the North Chickamauga Creek: According to Smite "You know you can't move a heard." We has a thunderous time walking a few hundred feed down the soaking trail. Anthony's prays were answered as non of the oldies fell or broke anything.

Sadie enjoyed walking with the others as all three were highly photographed.
