Daddy, "Mr. Mike came with Mrs. Tara, Renn, and Caven. Renn left and Caven stayed, we went to bed and played 'show movies' and baby. Waking in the morning we played pirates going to Waffle House."

Sliding with the Kids!

Sadie's Tent, Jacks' Sun Shelter Tent, & Our Tent...
We brought the house with us and had very little room in the car.

Cavin learned to ride his bike with no training wheels!
He zipped around the place like a pro.

Tara Relaxing...

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend with good friends and can't wait until our next outing.

Gee Creek Camping

Camping with friends on my favorite fishing river and I didn't fish!

According to TN State Parks, "The Hiwassee State Scenic Rivers' "Gee Creek" campground is a haven and a home-away-from-home to many river users." Sadie agreed and ran for the playground playing herself totally out of energy. She begged for sleep bed, Jodie needed sleep, so we call came home a little early.

We enjoyed camping and thank you all for coming with us. Lets doing it again soon!

Smith-Swafford Adventure to the Huck!

Huckleberry Knob (5560 ft / 1695 m)
The Calm after the Storm!
High Winds and Rain Cooking Indoors Smith Style
Hold on, The Wind and Blowing Rain are Crushing Our Tent!
Sunrise: 7:35ish Temp: 27 F (-2.7 C) degrees

Jacob's first cold/rainy camping experience was a great time. Eric and I setup the tent in a hellish wind that was carrying away all not staked down. Braking all the rules for smart camping, our highly exposed site was not conducive for fire making. Diving into the tent we sorted a bit of food as the torrents of rain found their way into the tent, the shoes, the sleeping bags and most everything you want dry. Eric endured the 2 inches of water in this boots at the 4:30 am warming party (he only attended). After returning to bed he found sleeping a little more comforting on this frozen jeans, noting the temperature had dropped to 27. Jacob loved the trip and talked about the next one on our way home!

Another Oil Pan!

Danny & Cyd came down to go camping with us. Well we said we could
only camp on the pavement...we changed our mind. Only a few hundred
feet down the flat smooth gravel road I managed to put a hole in the
oil pan. It was just another $300!
